Portable Bank

This guide explains how to make a portable bank. Basically, as long as you carry it, you will receive a set amount of credits. It uses the stash system, so you drop it if you are killed, or you enter /dropstash in the console.

First, you need to place a stash zone over the entire map. If you wish, you can have it only in a certain room, but i find it easiest to cover the whole map.

Now, add one spawn point. This is where the bank will initially spawn. After that, it could be anywhere on the map, or on a player. Adjust the model to what you want. Be sure to adjust the mins/maxs too.

Next, make a credits loop so that the player receives 100-150 credits every 50 seconds.

Add an activate/deactivate so that it stops/starts giving credits when dropped/picked up.

Optional Glow - shows who is carrying the bank. Use powerup,# to set a glow.

Glows - change powerup,# to what you want
4 - Red Glow
5 - Blue Glow
6 - White Glow
3 - Pull effect glow


Important Notes
-The new stash system is incomplete, so not all keys for lmd_stashxxxx entities will work right
-If the bank is dropped when a player is directly in front of a wall or object, it will be stuck there until the next map change, or until an admin noclips into the wall and picks it up.
-If a player hides well enough, they can camp out in some far corner of the map and receive credits while afk, and not let anyone else have it.
-Players can camp in a damage-restrict trigger, and no one can kill them.
-It is possible to have the bank expire, and the stash would reset, but i find it really glitchy, and prefer to trust players to not drop it in a wall tongue
-If you wish, you can place a misc_bsp, and use lmd_flagplayer to prevent players from leaving the area with the bank. I might add that to this guide later.

you can jus tmake an actual stash system, and use a wait time, so ppl dropping the portable bank into walls wouldnt affect as much, yet it would have timelimit for holds in a way

No, you just named it oddball. Others can change the name/model to whatever they want. I believe JW had made a scepter quest similar to this.
