Woosiemod Guide

This guide tells you how to use the npc animation function for woosiemod.

Woosiemod Download

Giving NPC models a pose, and making them into a button

Find where you want to place this, aim straight down, and enter this

/place lmd_restrict 0 maxs,10 10 20,mins,-10 -10 -20,spawnflags,3
/place npc_spawner 25 npc_type,_____,count,-1,targetname,initial_entity,spawnflags,96,spawnscript,anims/_____,angle,_____
/place misc_model_breakable 0 maxs,15 15 20,mins,-15 -15 -20,spawnflags,1

Just edit the ____ with what you want. Save and restart the map to see the npc.

Pressable, Talking NPC

This will make a npc that you can literally press to have it play a sound, play an animation, or fire something else. It can be set to be killable.

The npc
Code:
/place npc_spawner 30 npc_type,____,spawnflags,32,count,-1,targetname,initial_entity,spawnscript,npc/usable,usescript,______,target,_____,health,______

If you want it killable, set the health to something reasonable. If not, make it health,99999999, or something that would take a VERY long time to kill it.

To make it play an animation, set the usescipt to what you want.

To have it play a sound or fire something, set it to target a target_speaker or whatever you want.

Note: Woosiemod must be uploaded to the server. Find it in the downloads section here.
Note #2: Woosiemod comes with a flying swoop. To spawn one, noclip in the air a bit, and enter “/npc spawn vehicle swoop_mp2”
Note #3: Be careful. Woosiemod is still extremely unstable. You can use it to make really neat things, but if you make a mistake, the map it is on may become unstable and crash easily.

well, an example would be:

If you just want to give the npc a pose, use spawnscript. Usescript is the animation that would be played if you pressed the npc, but only if the spawnscript is npc/usable. Ignore the target key, that actually doesn't work.

With most animations, you need to place an invisible misc_model_breakable at the same place where the npc spawns, which makes the npc stick and keep the animation. Use this model for the terminal.

Hi!

i have a problem!
i have Woosiemod - 1
now
i place that:
/place npc_spawner 30 npc_type,tusken,spawnflags,32,count,-1,targetname,initial_entity,spawnscript,anims/kneel,health,9999999

ok i place it...
i use the rcon to saveit /rcon saveit default - this
and now i use /rcon map_restart 1 - 1 second and restart the server
and map restarting and loading the npc and not use animation!!!
pls help me!

The npc plays the animation, it just doesn't loop. Try using spawnflags 96, and placing a misc_model_breakable around the npcs. maxs,15 15 30,mins,-15 -15 -30 seems to work good for npcs.

Use both. The lmd_restrict prevents the npc from taking damage, and the misc_model_breakable freezes the animation.

For those turrets, have a trigger_multiple target a misc_weapon_shooter. Be careful though, misc_weapon_shooter crashes the server very easily, especially if a bot triggers it.

And ummmm how do you get rid of it?

I did /nearby but all it gave e was a misc_model_breakable with an ent of 100
after i spawns 2 things with ents of 102 and 103, i delent the 100 and my reborn stood up....... now i do /nearby and nothing shows up........

Use "/rcon entitylist npc_spawner" and delete the spawner for the npc. You might have to trace the spawners to figure out which one is the correct one. Save and restart the map, and it should be gone.

you dont need woosie's icarus scripts for the animations anymore, you can just do this:


NPC with Anim

First you have to find the anim you want. When you have the number :

Warning :The Npc Spawned can crash the server if killothered. Try maybe to put an invisible misc_model_breakable around him for more safety.

Yeah, that would work too. I've never used lmd_actor before. I build mostly in 2.3.2, and lmd_actor doesn't exist in that. Also, misc_turret_g2 is broken there. Sad
