iobject terminal

Post by flanagon on Sun Sep 21, 2014 9:49 am

Hello guys! I'm making a mining place where you get an iobject for "hacking" the rock for like 10 secs. My question is how do I make a terminal where I can sell the same iobjects in different quantities? Like, I could sell just 1 iobject, or I could sell 10 iobjects at once, both in the same terminal with /interact 1 and 2 options. Thanks in advance! Very Happy

Hello and also welcome to the forums!

As for your issue I belive that your request is about terminal giving out iobjects of different quantities. This can be achieved by creating several targets and cmds for the terminal like target1,target2,.. and cmd1,cmd2,...
You use those targets for iobjects like in the code example below:
Code:
/place lmd_terminal 0 message,Mine Terminal,cmd,Sell 1 Rock,target,rock1,cmd2, Sell 10 Rocks,target2,rock2
Just like that! If you have any other problems with this, don't hesitate to reply back!
Good luck!

No, that's not what I meant, sorry for not being clear, but still thank you for your reply, I thought these forums were dying. Sad I actually finished the project in a more crude and simple way, but my "dream" was, to make a mining place, where you can mine Bulk of Ore-s, and you can sell these ores at a /interact terminal, but instead of pressing /interact 1 all the time (selling just 1 Bulk of Ore) I wanted to make a /interact 2 which makes you able to sell 10 Bulks of Ore at a time for more credits ofc. I talked with another builder, and he said such a thing can't be achieved with iobjects, only with customskill. Sad

Ah, my apologies then. This forum seems to be dead and it probably quite is but I try to check out posts frequently and there are a lot of guides to browse! So I think it's still handy sometimes. However don't hesitate to ask if you have another problem, I'll try to address it asap!
Good luck with your mine Smile
